TheSketchMonkey evaluates the V6 Ecoboost Raptor and explains why it makes significantly more sense than the Raptor R and TRX.
After years of digitally modernizing and modifying vehicles on his YouTube channel, he is able to recognize a decent vehicle design. In his most recent video, he visits Denver, Colorado to examine the Ford F-150 Raptor EcoBoost V6 up close. He provides his expert opinion on its design, build quality, and performance, as well as why he believes this model is preferable to the more costly Raptor R and Ram TRX.
The 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor EcoBoost V6
In this video, Marouane explains that he recently contemplated purchasing a new 2023 Ram TRX, but he wanted to see how this new Ford truck compared before spending so much money. Both vehicles cost approximately $80,000, which will leave your wallet significantly lighter. Compared to the top-tier Ford F-150 Raptor R, the base Raptor V6 is approximately $30,000 less expensive.
This model’s 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 engine produces 450 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque, and it can accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in approximately 5.5 seconds. The 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor pickup vehicle is equipped with a 10-speed automatic transmission and numerous other premium features.
The Sketch Monkey evaluates the exterior aesthetic of this 2023 Ford pickup truck and is obviously enamored by it. He appreciates the front end’s unmistakable Ford insignia in the front grille, the amber marker lights seamlessly integrated into the fascia, and the front fender flares. There is a steel bumper for off-road use, but he dislikes the afterthought-looking fog lamps.
The interior is spacious, equipped with most of the features you’d expect in a high-end modern vehicle, and opulent for a pickup truck. Both the infotainment and cluster displays are 12 inches in size and feature a high-resolution and intuitive user interface.
Marouane finally starts the engine and drives this monstrous Ford. He contends that when he floors the accelerator, the F-150 sounds and feels more like a sports car, despite having a V6 engine.
While he acknowledges that it won’t sound as nice as a V8, Marouane is extremely impressed with the Ecoboost’s performance and sound. It is surely sufficient to prevent him from purchasing a Ram TRX pickup truck or even a more expensive Ford F-150 Raptor R.
