The Royal is one of Dubai’s most luxurious and expensive hotels, located on Palm Jumeirah.

According to Bloomberg, Kohn Pederson Fox Associates designed the resort, which took 14 years to open. This resort was planned in 2008 but never built. After more than a decade, the UAE sovereign wealth fund revived the project in 2016. The resort is expected to open for bookings on February 10.

The luxury resort complex’s opening event on January 21 featured Beyoncé’s first live performance after four years of vacation. The concert was the final event in Atlantis The Royal’s grand opening, with a guest cast of 1,500 people, including supermodel Kendall Jenner, rapper Jay-Z, and royal celebrities from Dubai, according to CNBC.

Beyoncé’s performance will be enhanced by the hotel’s fountain, fire, and fireworks. The show has 8 restaurants and unlimited infinity pools. Fortune and sources reported that the “Break My Soul” singer was paid up to 24 million USD (over 500 billion VND) for this exclusive night.

CNBC noted that this 43-story resort complex with 795 rooms, 17 restaurants, and 92 super-sized swimming pools resembles a giant jigsaw puzzle. Most luxury chains charge over $100,000 per night, while regular rooms cost $1,000. Beyoncé rested here during the January resort launch.

The super project brings exclusive amenities to the royal family
