Dubai’s Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, also known as Fazza, is not the wealthiest member of the royal family, but his colourful life has always drawn a lot of attention.

With a net worth of $400 million, the man born in 1982 is able to maximise his talents in a variety of roles ranging from politician to poet to equestrian expert.

Fazza is the second son of Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), King Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Fazza, like his brother Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, received his early education at Dubai’s prestigious Rashid Boys’ School.In 1986, the first ruler of the emirate established this school.

Following that, Fazza travelled to England to attend the British Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, the top school for British military officers and a favourite of many Middle Eastern royals.He graduated from the London Academy of Economics and Politics.

Fazza took over as Crown Prince of Dubai in 2008 after his brother was deposed.Sheikh Rashid died suddenly from a heart attack in 2015, according to SCMP.

Fazza’s popularity on social media stems solely from his position as Crown Prince of Dubai.He is, however, more than that.The crown prince’s Instagram account has over 15.8 million followers, which is more than the UAE’s entire population (approximately 10 million according to 2022 statistics).

Being a poet

Sheikh Hamdan, like his father, is gifted and enthusiastic about poetry.The Crown Prince of Dubai writes poetry in the ancient Arabic Nabati style.He adopted the alias “Fazza,” which means “assistant” in Arabic.

In 2019, the UAE royal published For the Love of Horses, an anthology of 18 bilingual poems, to share his passion for horseback riding.

Sheikh Hamdan shares his poetic identity and personality in order to reveal his humble self, to rekindle joy in people’s hearts, and to alleviate their suffering in his own simple way.”I express their hopes and desires,” he explains.

Living in a $2 billion mansion

Zabeel Palace, built in 1963, is the official residence of Dubai’s ruler, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and his family.

The 14-hectare house is considered an impressive feat of design and architecture, with an estimated value of around $2 billion USD.It displays all of the world’s luxuries.

The well-known prince adores animals.As a result, where he lives has a private zoo full of exotic pets like tigers, lions, gorillas, and monkeys.The garden was featured in a Dubai YouTuber’s vlog.

Zabeel Palace also has a collection of luxury automobiles.According to Car Blog India, the crown prince owns a number of high-end supercars, including a Ferrari 458, a Lamborghini Aventador, a Rolls-Royce Dawn, and a Rolls-Royce Cullinan.

Joint wedding

Sheikh Hamdan married Sheikha Shaikha bint Saeed bin Thani Al Maktoum in 2019.Notably, there were three brides and grooms at the event. Sheikh Maktoum and Sheikh Ahmed, Fazza’s two younger brothers, were also married on the same day.
