Aliko Dangote was born on April 10, 1957, into a wealthy Muslim family in Kano, Kano State. His family is of Hausa descent, and he is a Muslim. Mohammed Dangote and Mariya Sanusi Dantata, who is a descendant of Sanusi Dantata, are his parents. One of his three daughters from his first marriage is Halima Dangote.
