Every time a YouTuber takes up an exotic car, it’s a safe bet that it will be mistreated for more views and subscribers. We have lost tally of the number of supercars that attention-grabbing content creators have sacrificed. Jake Paul, a controversial YouTube personality who recently purchased a Ferrari 296 GTB after spending $16 million on a luxurious mansion in Puerto Rico, is the newest addition to the list. After achieving financial success in his boxing career, Jake is making a revival on YouTube and promising to post more videos. In his most recent video, the 26-year-old influencer is seen purchasing his first Ferrari and destroying the $421,000 supercar within one hour.
The YouTuber captures the experience of purchasing the yellow 296 GTB from the Ferrari Puerto Rico dealership in San Juan by examining the rear-wheel-drive supercar and all of its unique features. One of his companions even jumps into the trunk to demonstrate its ample space. Jake finally exclaims, “Bro, I’m nervous to drive this hybrid supercar,” as he climbs inside. It’s so lovely that I’m going to leave it where it is.” Immediately thereafter, he leaves the dealership to drive the Ferrari for the first time. The Ferrari 296 GTB will debut in 2021 with a hybrid powertrain consisting of a 3.0-liter V6 and a 165hp electric motor.
Jake rapidly overcomes his anxiety while driving the 830 horsepower supercar and engages in tire-squealing action. Even though the 296 GTB is a rear-wheel-drive supercar, the YouTuber-turned-boxer praises the vehicle’s traction. He then proceeds to a parking lot, where he produces some pastries made of burning rubber. With only 56 miles on the odometer, the theatrics prove too much for the brand-new Ferrari, causing it to break down. The digital instrument cluster illuminates like a Christmas tree and displays a number of warning messages, including headlamp malfunction and ESC (which Jake continues to refer to as a ‘escape’ system) failure. “Bro, you just bought this car,” one of his friends is overheard saying. Even though the Ferrari is still drivable, it must be returned to the dealership.
What is his identity?Jake Paul, aptly dubbed The Problem Child, launched his career in September 2013 by posting videos to Vine. When the app was shut down, he had over 5,3 million followers, which earned him a role in the Disney Channel series “Bizaardvark.” Due to his dubious behavior, the social media influencer has been involved in numerous controversies throughout his career.
