Ronaldo and ex-teammate Karim Benzema both vie for the scoring lead

Middle Eastern and North African clubs play against one another for the title of Arab Club Champions in a tournament that is held annually.

Because Al Nassr was asked to participate in this year’s competition by the Arab Football Association, he was exempt from having to compete in the qualifying rounds in order to take part.

The competition began on July 27 and continued through August 12 with a total of 16 teams participating.

There were a total of eight teams competing, divided into four groups of four, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the quarterfinals.

In their most recent match, Al Nassr competed against Zamalek, a team that is more highly regarded in terms of both their technique and their player distribution.

Ghislain Konan, a defender for Al Nassr, made a break down the left side of the field and handed the ball to Ronaldo, who scored the game-winning goal in the 87th minute from a distance of close to 10 meters out, preventing the team from being eliminated in the group stage.

The game finished in a draw with each team scoring one goal at the end. Despite the fact that Ronaldo and his team finished in second place in Group C, they were still able to move on to the knockout stage.

Al Nassr came in second place in Group C, trailing only Al Shabab after earning five points overall, including one victory, one tie, and a total of five points. Zamalek, representing Egypt, finished in third place with four points and was thereby eliminated from competition.

Al Nassr, Al Shabab, Al Hilal, and Al Ittihad are the four teams that represent Saudi Arabia that advanced to the quarterfinals of the competition. On August 6, Ronaldo and his team will compete against the club from Raja, which is located in Morocco, in the quarterfinals.

With two goals scored so far, Ronaldo is presently tied for second place in the competition’s scoring race. Karim Benzema, a striker for Al Ittihad, was the driving force behind the team’s offense and scored three goals throughout three games.

Al Ittihad was able to win all three games and take first place in their group as a result of these goals. They will compete against Al Hilal on the fifth of August in the quarterfinals.
