Abeking & Rasmussen, a shipyard with a 115-year history, has just released their biggest superyacht to yet, and it is a sight to see. Meet the 387-foot superyacht Liva, a product of the skill of a German shipyard. The sleek black hull of the ship makes it easy to spot. Joseph Dirand Architecture in Paris was enlisted to handle both the external and interior design. Liva may seem like a floating monolith, but she is really a thoughtful blend of traditional and modern design, with plenty of outdoor areas to make your time on board feel like a vacation.
The black hull isn’t the only striking feature of this ship; the Neptune Lounge, with its enormous window measuring 3.40 meters by 1.30 meters, is also worth mentioning. The $250 million yacht also has a 12-by-4-meter pool that can be raised and decorated with liquid marble to create the illusion of a sea surface. There are several vantage points from which to take in Liva’s natural beauty, but the crow’s nest at the mast’s base provides a unique perspective. An unusual outdoor feature, the large marble-clad fireplace is complemented by the spherical couch to create a cozy meeting area.
The sky deck of the Liva Yacht is equipped with a helicopter pad and there are two tender garages. The yard freely admits that fitting a 16-meter day tender into the tender garage on the lower deck presented some difficulties. There are three boats, several toys, and a Triton submersible that can carry seven people in the second tender garage on the main deck. The 5000 GT yacht has a cutting-edge diesel-electric propulsion system, which gives the gigantic motoryacht a sense of calm and steadiness befitting of its size.
The 387-foot yacht has 6 staterooms for 12 passengers and can reach speeds of 18 knots. The handover of this spectacular superyacht represents a watershed moment for our firm, and I can declare without reservation that we have accomplished our goal of constructing another extraordinary vessel. According to Abeking & Rasmussen CEO Matthias Hellmann, “We have created a yacht that sets new industry standards and delights our discerning clients by remaining true to our core values of innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction.”
The high-end customer is a German billionaire living in Dubai whose name is being kept secret. The wealthy owner will shell out between $25 and $30 million per year to maintain his stunning pleasure vessel.
