Patrick Mahomes speaks out about Tom Brady’s pursuit of Super Bowl numbers

The best quarterback to ever play the game of football is Tom Brady. This is common knowledge among fans of football and the NFL, but Patrick Mahomes, the quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs, may one day surpass Brady’s record-setting performances and ‘GOAT’ status.

While trying to achieve much more in his career, Mahomes is already acknowledged as the top quarterback in the league. As a result of Brady’s retirement and the fact that he is no longer adding achievements to his resume, Mahomes’ objective of catching Brady appears more and more likely as the seasons go on.

Between his time with the New England Patriots and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tom Brady played in the NFL for an incredible 23 seasons. Before moving to Tampa Bay and winning his seventh Super Bowl victory in a total of 10 outings, Brady had the most of his success with the Patriots, with whom he won six Super Bowls.

When Patrick Mahomes took over as Kansas City’s full-time starter, he almost instantly became an overnight phenomenon thanks to his impressive movements and extremely difficult throws from a variety of arm angles. In his sixth NFL season, Mahomes will have won two championships. Brady trails Mahomes by just one Super Bowl in their respective first five seasons in the NFL.

It is difficult to argue that Patrick Mahomes won’t match Tom Brady’s seven championships if things continue the way they are going for him.

The majority of players in the league will never even have the opportunity to win one, thus it was difficult to even picture a quarterback winning seven Super Bowls. Although seven is a difficult threshold to try and match, Patrick Mahomes is ultimately ready for the challenge.

Seven is a lot, but Mahomes indicated he would try to come as close as possible. “Even for me today, it’s crazy to even consider being in 10 Super Bowls and winning seven of them. The other stats are sort of included. I was aware that despite having impressive stats while attending Texas Tech, I was unable to secure victories. I knew I wanted to win [first] when I joined the NFL. I’ll do whatever I can to help my team win Super Bowls.

Without a doubt, Patrick Mahomes is talented and has the guts to try to compete with Tom Brady at the highest levels, but he will need everything to go his way. Before considering his choices elsewhere, he should first see how far and how much he can win with Andy Reid and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Mahomes is currently positioned to continue leading the NFL as the top quarterback and player. Mahomes is on the correct track if he truly wants to do nothing but win because he has already declared that he will follow the “Brady plan” by spending less money to assemble a higher caliber team of players.

Mahomes is positioning himself to be among the finest players in history, if not the best. When all is said and done, there won’t be much to dispute about if he keeps up his current pace.
