This last week has been one of the hardest for LeBron James and his loved ones. James and his youngest son Bryce were spotted shooting hoops again today, despite the setback. LeBron James, as he did every summer, released his new Nike signature shoe over the offseason.

Images of the Nike LeBron 21 sneaker were leaked online a few months ago. LeBron James’ Instagram picture, set to the song “Rich Flex” by Drake and 21 Savage, gave fans their best look at the sneaker to yet.

The 2022–2023 NBA season marked a watershed moment in James’s career. LeBron James just became the NBA’s all-time top scorer, and he recently celebrated a career with Nike that spans two decades. Both of these accomplishments happened when he was guiding the Los Angeles Lakers to the Western Conference Finals. As a result, the Nike LeBron 21 has high expectations to meet.

At first glance, the Nike LeBron 21 looks to be a significant upgrade over its predecessor. The mesh upper has apparently been swapped out for what looks like patent leather. The shoe’s two Swoosh logos have been swapped out for a single, more sculpted one at the heel.

The fact that the shoe seems to be another low-cut style will be welcome news to both athletes and spectators. Nike is continuing the low-top silhouette of last year’s Nike LeBron 20, which marked the debut of James’ own footwear line.

Unofficial images of basketball sneakers seldom do justice to the actual product, but we’re stoked about the Nike LeBron 21. James was the first to debut the gold colorway, and they look excellent and should perform admirably on the court.

Official details such as a release date, technical specs, or pricing have not yet been announced. Conversely, the shoe is anticipated to debut in the autumn of 2023 at a similar price point to its forerunner (about $200).
