Fazza is the second son of King Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Like his brother Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, Fazza’s education began at Dubai’s prestigious Rashid Boys’ School. This school was founded by the first ruler of the emirate in 1986.

Like his father, Sheikh Hamdan is talented and passionate about poetry. The Crown Prince of Dubai uses the ancient Arabic Nabati style to write poetry. He took the pseudonym “Fazza”, which means helper in Arabic.
The UAE royal released an anthology of 18 bilingual poems called For the Love of Horses in 2019 to share about his hobby of riding.
