Jay-Z and Beyoncé have just bought an amazing piece of architecture in Malibu, California. This impressive home has an area of 30,000 square feet and is in a highly sought-after area.
Reliable sources in the real estate business say that the couple paid a staggering $200 million for the property. This makes it the most expensive home ever sold in the state of California.
The previous record was $177 million, so this is more than that. This deal is also the second most expensive real estate deal in the country. The most expensive was a $238 million apartment in New York City, which took the top spot.
Even though the property was originally listed for a whopping $295 million, Jay-Z and Beyoncé were able to get a great deal. The house is on an 8-acre bluff that looks out over the Pacific Ocean in Paradise Cove, which is also known as Billionaires’ Row.
The well-known Japanese master architect Tadao Ando, who also worked on Kanye West’s Malibu home, designed this architectural gem, which adds to its appeal.
This all-concrete building was owned and built by William Bell, one of the most famous art collectors in the world. It took nearly 15 years to finish.
It’s important to note that this is not the first big property the couple has bought in the Los Angeles area. In 2017, they paid $88 million for a mansion in Bel-Air and then put in more money to make it worth more than $100 million. Kurt Rappaport, a well-known celebrity agent, worked for both the buyer and the seller. We have asked his office for comments, but haven’t heard back yet.
