Inter Miami co-owner Jorge Mas has captured what is arguably the most ‘expensive’ moment in sports history.

On his personal Twitter page, American businessman Jorge Mas posted a picture of having dinner with Lionel Messi and Novak Djokovic at a restaurant in Miami. The picture was posted with the caption “what a great night!” accompanied by a symbol of two goats to refer to GOAT (Greatest of all time – the greatest of all time).

Incidentally, both of these athletes have just made their own achievements in the United States. While Lionel Messi has just defeated Cincinnati FC in the semifinals of the US Open Cup 2023 , not long ago, Novak Djokovic also won the ATP Masters 1000 championship right in the city of Ohio. There is no doubt that Messi and Djokovic are currently dominating the sport in which they compete, they have both devoted themselves throughout their careers to receive glory and recognition.

In fact, the close relationship between Messi and Djokovic has existed since before. The Serbian tennis player in June attended Roland Garros in France went to Parc de Princes Stadium to watch El Pulga play his last match in a PSG shirt. Therefore, the fact that the two met in Miami was as if it had been planned since they were still in France! 

Both athletes will continue their journey in the US, Djokovic will aim for the 27th Grand Slam title of his career with the US Open campaign. As for Messi, he will continue his long journey in the Inter Miami shirt when starting his first match in the MLS this weekend.
