Designed like a fighter jet, the Automobili Pininfarina B95 is a $4.8 million open-cockpit electric hypercar that goes from 0 to 60 mph in less than 2 seconds

Automobili Pininfarina has revealed its newest all-electric hypercar and it’s absolutely bonkers. If you are crаzy enough to think the Battista is a little too bland and not exciting enough, the Italian brand’s latest creation will make your jaw drop. Behold the Automobili Pininfarina B95, the world’s first electric hyper Barchetta that is not only named like a fighter jet but also designed like one. In fact, the open-air two-seater’s mаd design is said to be inspired by vintage fighter planes. Unveiled as part of Monterey Car Week, the B95 is limited to just 10 examples, making it a hyper-exclusive creation by the famed Italian company with guaranteed rarity for its buyers.

The stunning silhouette of the Automobili Pininfarina B95 follows the company’s current PURA design philosophy. It is, in fact, the first coach-built model by Automobili Pininfarina. The front is dominated by a massive splitter protruding from the nose along with thin LED headlight strips. The Automobili Pininfarina badge on the hood is backlit, while there are massive vertical veins right behind that evacuate air suckeԀ in from the nose to keep the hypercar glued to the tarmac. The B95 being a Barchetta doesn’t have a roof, keeping the cockpit exposed at all times. Instead of a traditional windscreen, there are electronically adjustable aero screens for the driver as well as the passenger.

The example heading to the Monterey Car Week features a dual-tone exterior finish that combines a shade of gray called Bronzo Superga with a contrasting Giallo Arneis yellow. The hyper barchetta is fitted with 20-inch front and 21-inch rear forged aluminum wheels painted in matte black. The cockpit is also as crаzy as the exterior, which is mostly upholstered in sustainable tan leather. Interestingly, the headrests are trimmed in Pied de Poule Houndstooth Luxury Textile with a unique houndstooth pattern. The cockpit features a driver-focused layout with three displays placed behind the steering wheel.

It’s hardly a surprise that the Automobili Pininfarina B95 shares its electric powertrain with the Battista, which is borrowed from the Rimac Nevera. As a result, it features a massive 120kWh lithium-ion battery pack that feeds power to four electric motors that are capable of delivering a combined 1,874hp. The Italian manufacturer says the hyper Barchetta can Һit 0-60mph in less than 2 seconds and achieve a top speed in excess of 186mph. “This is the most exciting chapter of the Automobili Pininfarina story so far – we’re taking another big step forward,” said Automobili Pininfarina chief executive Paolo Dellachà. Production of the Pininfarina B95 will start in 2025, the year that’ll mark the 95th anniversary of the Pininfarina design house. Limited to just 10 units, the B95 has a starting price of $4.8 million.
