AUSTIN, Texas (NV) – According to news website foxbusiness.com, on August 23, Tesla owner Elon Musk announced on social media network X that he has just test-drive the newly produced Tesla Cybertruck. First produced in Texas.
This is an important milestone for Tesla, as this electric pickup is officially in production. Last year, Mr. Musk said supply chain shortages had affected the supply of key parts, pushing Cybertruck production back to 2023.

FOX Business reviews and analyzes a few key features of this highly anticipated electric pickup. Cybertruck is said to be a revolution in the electric vehicle manufacturing industry, which can make competitors like Ford and GM worry.
1. Production materials & dimensions. This is a four-door pickup, with a 6-foot-long rear deck, and the width to fit in a 20-foot garage. This very spacious vehicle is shaped like a lunar rover! Cybertruck uses polymer multi-layer composite materials, and ultra-durable glass to improve performance and impact resistance.
According to Tesla’s website, the electric pickup boasts an “almost impenetrable” outer frame. Every part is exceptionally strong and durable, from the structural stainless steel housing to the ultra-durable glass. The bodywork is designed to be resistant to dents, damage and corrosion.
2. Speed and range on a single charge. According to Tesla, the Cybertruck’s low center of gravity will allow the car to accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 2.9 seconds, the speed of race cars! The range of travel after a single charge can be up to 500 miles.Tesla says the Cybertruck is designed to carry loads of up to 3,500 pounds, with a towing capacity of more than 14,000 pounds. The vehicle is equipped with both a power source and an air compressor.
3. Order and delivery. During Tesla’s shareholder meeting in May, Musk said the company is aiming to produce about 250,000 Cybertrucks a year, depending on demand. Tesla is trying to increase production capacity. This year, Tesla’s annual deliveries are up 83%.
4. Price and competition. When Elon Musk first announced the Cybertruck in 2019, the company allowed prospective buyers to pay $100 to pre-order a Cybertruck. Then the initial price is expected to be below $40,000.According to Kelley Blue Book, the starting price of a Cybertruck can start at $50,000. Currently, Tesla has no details on the actual price, nor specific details on the vehicle’s specifications, or an official start date of delivery to dealers.Ford Lightning and Rivian will be the main competitors of the Cybertruck.Buyers are eagerly waiting for the first Cybertruck to roll on American streets.
