Tennis star Sloane Stephen and her husband regret farewell to the luxury villa
Sloane Stephens, a former U.S. Open champion, has put her Little Holmby, Los Angeles, Spanish-style home on the market for slightly under $3.4 miℓℓio𝚗. The tennis pro, who recently wed soccer player Jozy Altidore, stands to gain from the sale of the home she bought in 2015 for $2.4 miℓℓio𝚗, which was seven years ago.
The 1930s-era two-story stucco and terracotta-roofed home is hidden behind gated entrances on a quarter-acre site decorated with bougainvillea and other plants.
The home, which is over 2,900 square feet in size and has transitional accents, has four bedrooms and four bathrooms. Original stained glass windows, arched doors, hardwood flooring, and intricate crown molding are still there.
Landscaped front yard with a path leading to a large tiled courtyard. A wood-burning fireplace can be found in the formal living room, and the kitchen, which has subway tiles, features bespoke cabinets and expensive Viking appliances.
Both the formal dining room and the informal breakfast nook have French doors that go outside to the gardens.
The main bedroom is located upstairs and features a balcony, walk-in closets, and a lavish bathroom with two vanities, a clawfoot tub, and a glass-enclosed shower.
A bright bonus room, a full bathroom, and two guest bedrooms—one of which has a walk-in closet and a small office—are also found on the second floor. A detached building that is now being utilized as a gym and an outdoor eating space can be found in the grassy backyard.
Stephens also owns a Sherman Oaks residence that she paid $6.9 miℓℓio𝚗 for in May 2021 and a modern farmhouse in Studio City that she paid $2.2 miℓℓio𝚗 for in the summer of 2020. James Harris and David Parnes of The Agency are the listed agents for her Little Holmby residence.
