The music-industry juggernaut has built a real-estate empire worth $150 million

Taylor Swift may be best known for her impressive music career, though, with eight homes across four states, she may be adding “real estate mogul” to her repertoire pretty soon.

The 33-year-old superstar—who is currently on her Eras Tour—is worth an estimated $570 million, according to Forbes, $150 million of which she has invested in real estate, with diverse pads ranging from a $150 million penthouse in Manhattan”s TriBeCa to an 11,000-square-foot historical landmark in California. WEST VILLAGE APARTMENT, NEW YORK

Swift rented this 1870 brick townhouse, made famous after her well-known lyric “I rent a place on Cornelia Street,” between 2016 and 2017 while her $50 million TriBeCa loft was undergoing renovations. Today, this charming dig is officially on the market for a cool $17.9 million or available to rent for $45,000 a month. The space has four bedrooms, seven bathrooms, and a massive indoor pool. Luxury features include double-height ceilings, antique Parisian brickwork, and a variety of glamorous chandeliers. Arguably one of her most beautiful abodes, it’s old charm complete with modern renovations makes for beyond luxurious (not to mention costly) digs.

TRIBECA PENTHOUSE, NEW YORK

In 2014, Swift bought not one but two adjacent penthouses in an old TriBeCa building at 155 Franklin Street, converting them into one large duplex that has a total of 10 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms, a billiards room, and an incredible sweeping staircase. The coolest part? She bought these homes from Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson

 

NEIGHBORING TRIBECA TOWNHOUSE, NEW YORK

Only three years after purchasing the two TriBeCa penthouses, Swift expanded horizontally, purchasing the century-old townhouse right next door. The home, equipped with luxury amenities including a home theater, gym, guest suite, and terrace, is estimated to be valued at $18 million. It was built in 1915 and was fully renovated by architect and designer Leopoldo Rosati.

 

TRIBECA NEW YORK CONDO EXPANSION, NEW YORK

In early 2018, the 12-time Grammy winner paid $9.75 million for an additional three-bedroom, 3,500-square-foot loft on the second floor of the same TriBeCa building, dramatically upping her stake in the super-coveted 155 Franklin Street. The apartment was previously owned by financier Jeremy Phillips.

 

BEVERLY HILLS ESTATE, LOS ANGELES

Swift has owned a total of three homes in Los Angeles, though her 1934 Beverly Hills mansion, purchased in 2015, is by far the most impressive. First owned by film producer Samuel Goldwyn, the 10,982-square-foot estate is currently being restored and turned into a historic landmark, a decision made by Swift upon purchase.

 

WATCH HILL SEASIDE ESTATE, RHODE ISLAND

Taylor Swift’s 12,000-square-foot beach house sits atop the highest point of the Rhode Island town, serving as the destination for her famous A-list parties (she’s known for throwing Independence Day gatherings here). With seven bedrooms, eight fireplaces, a glorious pool, and shoreline views extending 700 feet, this mansion is one of her most impressive buys.

BEVERLY HILLS MIDCENTURY MODERN HOME, LOS ANGELES

Swift no longer owns this ranch-style home, which reflects the midcentury modern designs of 1950s Hollywood, when it was built. Sitting at the base of lush green hills, the great location creates an airy, sunlight-filled home. Despite its modest facade, the four-bed, four-bath ranch features white beamed ceilings, floor-to-ceiling glass, and, best of all, a 1,000-bottle, climate-controlled wine cellar. She bought the home in 2012 and listed it in May of 2018. It sold for $2.65 million in September, $300,000 less than the asking price. Still, she made a total of $850,000 on the sale.

GREEK REVIVAL ESTATE, NASHVILLE

Despite Swift’s jet-set life, she stuck to her roots when purchasing her second Nashville home, a sprawling Greek Revival known as Northumberland Estate. The impeccably designed home, which she purchased in 2011 for $2.5 million, features a 5,600-square-foot main house with a 2,000-square-foot guesthouse, complete with vaulted ceilings, herringbone floors, and marble fireplaces.

 

MUSIC ROW PENTHOUSE, NASHVILLE

At the ripe age of 20, Taylor Swift made her debut in the real estate market, purchasing a 3,240-square-foot Music Row condo in Nashville in 2009. The industrial-style condo, which sits in the luxury Adelicia building, features massive floor-to-ceiling windows and an open-concept layout. The star reportedly designed the interior for the apartment herself, describing it as “whimsically girlie,” with a style that resembles a “shabby-chic Alice in Wonderland.”
