Lionel Messi’s iconic number 10 shirt, symbolizing greatness, is on display at Al Nassr’s private museum, where Ronaldo is currently No.1

A picture that was taken not long ago of a Lionel Messi shirt that was purportedly kept in the changing room of Al-Nassr has been making the rounds on the Internet. The photograph was shot when Jordan Henderson and Sadio Mane, who had previously played together for Liverpool, caught up with one other before an event in Saudi Arabia. However, the validity of the picture has been called into question by a number of people.

This summer’s transfer window has seen a number of players come to Saudi Arabia, the most recent of whom are Sadio Mane and Jordan Henderson. In a deal worth $16.5 million, Henderson has made the move to Al-Ettifaq, which is managed by Liverpool star Steven Gerrard. In the meantime, Mane has signed a contract with Al-Nassr, following in Cristiano Ronaldo’s footsteps at the club. The two individuals were introduced to one another before to the beginning of the Saudi Pro League season.

Despite this, it was possible to make out a shirt hanging on the wall behind where the two former Liverpool players were standing. Although a number of supporters have asserted that it is a shirt belonging to Lionel Messi, others hold contrasting viewpoints. In addition to this, there is the assertion that the wall on which Messi’s shirt was hung was in fact located within the changing area of Al-Nassr. However, it has been demonstrated that the urban legend that Messi’s shirt is stored in the locker room of Al-Nassr is not true.

Jeddah was the location of the event where Mane and Henderson first crossed paths, whereas Riyadh is where Al-Nassr calls home. While all is going on, there is no misunderstanding about the presence of Messi’s jersey on the wall.

In a video shared by @SPL_EN, Messi’s FC Barcelona jersey could be seen hanging on the wall. Moreover, not only Messi but the shirts of several other soccer stars like Cristiano Ronaldo, Pele, and so on could be also seen hanging on the wall.

Lionel Messi’s shirt was previously put up for sale in Saudi Arabia

Jeddah isn’t the only place where Lionel Messi’s shirt has been seen in Saudi Arabia. Earlier this year, the Inter Miami star’s shirts were being sold by the Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal.

Al-Hilal, who are Al-Nassr’s biggest rivals, sold Messi’s jerseys as a stunt to rival Cristiano Ronaldo’s move to Al-Nassr earlier this year. The club reportedly put up the Argentine skipper’s shirts on sale to steal the spotlight from Ronaldo and his club.

Ironically, just a few weeks after this stunt, Al-Hilal also attempted to sign Lionel Messi. The Saudi Arabian club offered the former FC Barcelona star the biggest contract ever in soccer history.

Al-Hilal had reportedly offered Messi a contract worth around $1.5 BILLION for three years. However, the 36-year-old soccer icon rejected Al-Hilal’s offer and instead decided to sign with Inter Miami.
