The New York Jets made a significant commitment to Aaron Rodgers, but unfortunately, a devastating Achilles injury sidelined him just four plays into the 2023 season, effectively ending his year. Despite possessing a wealth of offensive talent and a formidable defense, the Jets have announced their decision to stick with Zach Wilson as their quarterback.
However, ESPN’s Shannon Sharpe is advocating for the Jets to consider reaching out to Tom Brady as their next potential quarterback option.
“I’m reaching out to Tom Brady,” Sharpe declared emphatically during his appearance on First Take when questioned about the possibility of the Jets acquiring a veteran quarterback. “I’m serious about it. I’m going to make a call to Tom Brady. While I understand that other options like Carson Wentz, Nick Foles, or even enticing Matt Ryan out of his CBS booth might be available, I’m picking up the phone and saying, ‘Tom, seriously, we’ve got $25 million waiting for you. Can you come and make something happen for us?'”
