Thiago Alcantara’s name has been linked to a potential transfer to Turkey.
However, his agent, Alex Boesch, has emphatically stated that the midfielder will remain at Liverpool and will not be making a move to Turkey.
The Turkish transfer window is on the verge of closing, and clubs such as Fenerbahce, Besiktas, and Trabzonspor were reportedly interested in securing his services.
Thiago, a former Bayern Munich player, has yet to make an appearance for Liverpool this season due to a hip injury that has kept him sidelined since April.
Additionally, he is in the final year of his contract with Anfield, having joined the club from Bayern in 2020. Boesch’s statement leaves no room for doubt: Thiago has no intentions of leaving Anfield and won’t be heading to Turkey.
He announced: “My partner Jordi went to Istanbul for a holiday. Thiago will not play in Turkey.”
