Two is company, and three is a crowd, especially aboard Steve Kozloff Designs’ latest concept, the 2US. The 134-footer sailing yacht concept is an impressive feat of design featuring five decks. The schooner is dubbed 2US not to sound romantic but for its fantastic practicality. The yacht only requires a crew size of two people. A sea-faring couple can enjoy the peace and quiet of the high seas alone or hire a professional crew, too, as crew accommodations are available if needed, per Superyachttimes.
The owners suite.2US features an owner’s suite measuring 380 square feet, one VIP cabin, and two twins and cabins for three crew. The technical sound ship boasts innovative features like an 1800 square-foot aircraft hangar outfitted with an elevating and gyro-stabilised landing pad.
Submarine leaving the garage. It serves as a stable platform during takeoff and landing for helicopters and an IKON seaplane. The designers have incorporated an integrated crane that lifts and moves cargo and the seaplane. A full-beam water-level garage houses a large tender and a U-Boat Worx NEMO submarine.
The mast tilts allowing the vessel to navigate under bridges. Now comes a feature missing in even centibillionaire Jeff Bezos’s $500 million sailing yacht Koru. The Solid Sail system, by French outfit Chantiers de L’Atlantique, allows the mast to tilt 70 degrees forward, thus providing feasibility to pass under most bridges without mishaps. The free-standing mast is also free of shrouds and can rotate a full 360 degrees to maximize wind power. The wonderful boat can cruise at nine knots for 6,000 nautical miles on diesel power. Under sail power alone, 2US can achieve up to 10 knots.
