Cristiano Ronaldo and his Al-Nassr teammates made a striking appearance in a recent video, donning traditional Saudi attire and brandishing swords.
Despite his recent move to Saudi Arabia in December last year, Ronaldo, now 38, has seamlessly adjusted to life in the Middle East. He has been in fine form on the pitch, with seven goals in his first five matches of the Saudi Pro League season and winning the Golden Boot as his team secured the Arab Club Champions Cup.
Off the field, the global superstar has also adapted well to life in Saudi Arabia, as evident from his brief cameo in the video. Ronaldo, alongside fellow teammates like Sadio Mane and Talisca, featured in traditional Saudi clothing while dancing at the end of the video.
The video, shared on Al-Nassr’s social media account, showcases three children exploring the club’s stadium and encountering several stars participating in traditional activities. Towards the end of the video, Ronaldo and Mane appear in black bisht and white thobe attire, while former Liverpool star Mane wears a golden bisht with a white thobe.
The video’s caption on Twitter reads, ‘All together. For one flag. We Dream, and Achieve,’ accompanied by various emojis. Given the upcoming Saudi National Day celebrations on Saturday, it is likely that the video is part of the ongoing festivities.
While many Saudi Pro League teams were in action on Thursday night, Al-Nassr had a break. N’Golo Kante marked his Al-Ittihad debut with a stunning long-range goal in their 2-1 league win, securing the victory against Al Fateh FC.
In other league action, Neymar’s Al-Hilal played to a 1-1 draw with Damac FC, with goals from Nicolae Stanciu and Malcom. A thrilling match saw former Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum score a brace during Al-Ettifaq’s 4-3 victory over Al Taee.
