On Monday, the blueprints for the world’s largest yacht were made public; according to the plans, the yacht would have 39 residences spread out over six stories, and the starting price for each unit will be more than $11 million.
According to a press statement, the launch of the 728-foot-long superyacht dubbed Somnio is planned for the year 2024, and the anticipated cost to build the vessel is $600 million. The Azzam, which holds the title of world’s largest yacht, measures in at little under 600 feet in length.
The prices for the premium apartments, which will start at $11.2 million and will each come with its own fitness center, will only be available to those who have been asked to make an offer.
Carl Le Souef, who is in charge of Somnio Global, an organization that describes itself as one that focuses on environmentally friendly technologies, is in charge of the project. The architecture that went into the enormous boat was a collaborative effort between the Swedish design firm Tillberg Design and the London-based firm Winch Design.
According to the press release, each of the apartments will come equipped with a kitchen, a fitness center, a library, and eating areas located both inside and on the terrace. The yacht will have a total of six decks with apartments on each of them.

According to the Financial Times, Somnio would provide purchasers with “the intimacy of a private yacht alongside the chance to network in a vibrant community of like-minded owners,” as the company’s backers stated during the launch on Monday.

According to the Financial Times, construction of the superyacht has already begun in Norway, and proceeds from sales of the vessel while it was still in the planning stages are assisting with financing the remaining work.
As part of its introduction, Somnio released a statement that claimed, “World-class medical care will also be available onboard, providing apartment owners with the highest level of safety away from pandemics and other global risks,” as reported by The Daily Mail.
