Aaron Rodgers, the quarterback for the New York Jets, has given some harsh counsel to both his teammates and the crowd as resentment mounts following a string of offensively disappointing outings.
During his weekly interview on “The Pat McAfee Show,” Aaron Rodgers complained about his teammates’ “little side conversations” during the team’s 15-10 loss to the New England Patriots. He also claimed that his colleagues needed to “grow up.”
Rodgers remarked, “I think we need to hold our poise a little bit better across the board.”
Simply put, we need to be a little better offensively and a little better competitors in order to prevent some of those things from happening on the sidelines.
Too many tiny side discussions, and we all need to lock in, lock on, and perform our duties without pointing fingers at one another — that goes for everyone. Don’t accuse one another or the coaching staff in the negative. Simply return to your work and complete it.
WR Garrett Wilson also had an animated conversation with quarterback Zach The future Hall of Fame quarterback had to stay at home to watch the New England game on Sunday as he makes progress in his recovery from the torn Achilles he sustained only four plays into his Week 1 Jets debut. In that Week 1 game against the Buffalo Bills, New York managed a miracle overtime victory, but lost the following week after Zach Wilson took over as the starter and the offense put on two abject displays. Rodgers, who underwent Achilles surgery on September 13, stated, “I feel like if I was there, some of those things wouldn’t be happening.” I’m not certain that we would win 3-0; I don’t know that.
