Ja Morant x Nike Ja 1 “Day 1”shoes: Where to buy, price, and more details explored

Ja Morant’s Memphis Grizzlies supporters had a fantastic Christmas Day thanks to the Oregon-based shoe brand Nike, which finally released his first Nike Ja 1 silhouette.

During the spring of 2023, two limited colorblockings of the Nike Ja 1 will be sold through Nike and a few retail stores. The pricing of these Cobalt blue sneakers in men’s sizes will be $110 per pair.

A new generation of talent is ready to step up and energize the brand, especially now that Kyrie Irving has left Nike, and many members of Nike Basketball’s roster, such as LeBron James (LeBron 20) and Kevin Durant (expected to debut the KD 16 in 2023), are nearing the end of their careers. This is when Ja Morant comes into play.

Following several rumors and early reports, the rising star eventually unveiled his much-anticipated debut signature sneaker, the Nike Ja 1. On Christmas Day 2022, Ja Morant and Nike will formally unveil the silhouette, and it will make its on-court debut on the same day.

For the past two years, Ja and the Nike design team have been working on the silhouette to ensure that it complements Morant’s aggressive playstyle while also exhibiting the next generation of brilliance. The Memphis Grizzlies guard is the first member of Generation Z to have a distinct silhouette.

He is great both on and off the court due to his genuine disposition and unwavering dedication for his family, community, and sport. All of this was considered when constructing the silhouette.

According to Nike’s VP of Global Men’s Basketball Scott Munson, the entire Swoosh team has been preparing for this moment for quite some time. He described it as follows: “A large Swoosh emblem for Nike marking covers the heel and connects to the medial side, and the variant shown has a gradient pattern that changes from green to purple.” Directly beneath it is a black leather part with the text “12 AM” in an iridescent finish, presumably a nod to his childhood, when he would stay up late exercising to achieve his ambitions.

Under the foot is a pink rubber outer sole unit and a two-tone fabric with a pink Zoom Air padded midsole.
