In a blazing first half during the Warriors’ away game against the Detroit Pistons on Monday night at Little Caesars Arena, Steph Curry etched his name into NBA history.

With a little over seven minutes left in the second quarter, Curry sank his fifth 3-pointer of the game, establishing an NBA record by making at least four 3-pointers in eight consecutive games to kick off a season.

What makes this achievement even more remarkable is the previous record of seven consecutive games, which Curry also held. He had set that record when he made more than four 3-pointers in seven consecutive games to start the 2018-19 NBA season.

Curry concluded the first half in Detroit with 20 points, nailing five of his 10 attempts from beyond the arc in just 15 minutes of play.

Golden State has charged to a 5-2 start this season, largely due to another exceptional stretch by Curry, who is showcasing his unparalleled shooting prowess during his 15th NBA campaign. He shows no signs of slowing down as he approaches his 36th birthday in March.
