Ja Morant’s recent antics have left the Memphis Grizzlies in a bit of a dilemma.
The star point guard disregarded a teammate’s advise over “off-court road discipline” prior to the club incident, according to recent reports.
Steven Adams led the effort at the Grizzlies’ players-only meeting to tackle off-court road discipline, according to Shams Charania.
For the sake of transparency, it’s unclear when the meeting was held. This meeting may have taken place after the Denver Nuggets game just prior to the club incident, or it may have occurred approximately one month ago.
Ja Morant was suspended despite the fact that he essentially ignored the difficulty he was having during a player-only meeting and then retaliated against the team.
The standout point guard for the Grizzlies is looking awful in that picture. Perhaps we never would have seen the Instagram video surface if he had followed Steven Adams’ suggestion.
Instead, Memphis must contend for a postseason berth without their star player as Morant is suspended indefinitely.
Ja Morant needs to improve and get back on track. On the court, he is an amazing player and a great showman. Like most people, I wish him the best.
Though the team is still keeping a watch on Morant, keep a look out for the Grizzlies.
