Steph Curry debuts new professional endeavor in new music video as NBA star comes full circle from his college days

NBA great Stephen Curry has realized his childhood ambition of performing in a rap video.

Steph Curry is the star of a new rap video alongside Tobe Nwigwe

Tobe Nwigwe’s latest song Lil Fish, Big Pond features the Golden State Warriors guard, 35.

Curry has always wanted to be a rapper and notably recorded a four-bar verse for an I Love College remix in 2009.

Almost 15 years later, the four-time NBA champion is back on Nwigwe’s new track.

The Warriors great appears in the song, which is about his ascension in the NBA, for a 30-second verse.

Curry, dressed in a fishing cap and clutching a rod, lowered his head at the opening of the song as the camera zoomed in.

He then unveiled himself, plunging right into the hook while lip-syncing along to the infectious chorus.

Since then, the music video has gone viral, with over 685,000 views on Twitter alone.

One fan responded to the clip: “Nah you can actually rap.”

Another said: “Congrats GOAT, Keep Breaking Barriers.”

While a third added: Great video. Song goes hard. Great work.”

Curry was recently featured in an Apple TV documentary titled Underrated.

The song “Lil Fish, Big Pond” was taken from the show’s soundtrack, which depicts Curry’s journey from Akron to the big leagues.

Curry, a two-time MVP, is known for his three-point shooting and was the seventh overall choice in the 2009 NBA Draft.

He’s averaging 24.6 points per game in his Golden State career and has a field goal percentage of.475.
