The Golden State three continues to have a keen sense of humor ten years into one of the NBA’s greatest dynasties.

Thursday was a unique day for the Warriors because of a quirk in the calendar rather than any one player’s achievements.

On Nov. 30, 2023—11/30/2023, a date that has the jersey numbers of guard Klay Thompson, guard Steph Curry, and forward Draymond Green—Golden State faced the Clippers at home and defeated them, 120–114.

Curry finished with 26 points, seven rebounds, and eight assists, Thompson had 22 points and six rebounds, and Green had 13 points, five rebounds, and five assists. The Warriors celebrated their historic trifecta throughout the game.

All three of them reminded fans in a postgame interview of what has made them so captivating since the mid-2010s: their joy and jollity on the court.

Thompson flipped the question back on play-by-play announcer Bob Fitzgerald of NBC Sports Bay Area and his colleague, color commentator (and former Warriors player) Kelenna Azubuike, when they were questioned about his fourth-quarter performance.

“Well Bob, it only takes one, but more importantly, I didn’t know it was you guys’ fifth year together,” Thompson said. “When I was doing broadcasts with y’all, I didn’t know how it was gonna look down the line. I’m proud of you two. The chemistry you two are building is like us three.”

Then, when the camera moved out a little, it showed Curry and Green, who, like Thompson, have played for Golden State their whole careers, in fits of laughter.
