Rumors that Taylor Swift married her ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn before to their shocking breakup in early 2023 have been refuted.
Tree Paine, Swift’s longtime publicist, criticized the gossip website DeuxMoi on Twitter on Thursday, claiming that although Swift married Alwyn “either 2020 or 2021,” the marriage was never officially recognized.
Swift and Alwyn reportedly split up earlier this year, following nearly six years of courtship.
She is currently dating NFL player Travis Kelce, with whom she is settling down in Missouri after traveling to London for Beyonce’s Thursday movie debut for only 12 hours.
Unfounded rumors that Swift was “secretly engaged” to Alwyn and that she was wearing a ring in private, however, appeared in 2022, just before her relationship with him ended.
Then, last week, Deuxmoi brought up the accusations once more by emphasizing that Swift “did have a ceremony” and sharing a letter from an anonymous follower regarding Swift and Alwyn’s connection.
“It is enough to hear these falsehoods about Taylor from Deuxmoi,” Paine shared a screenshot of the message with others.
Furthermore, she maintained that the source was “insane” for publishing anything else and that “there was NEVER a marriage or ceremony of ANY kind.”
It’s crazy that you posted this. She said, “It’s time to take responsibility for the suffering and trauma you inflict with posts like these.”
The shlcking allegations were made on Thursday by Deuxmoi, a well-known Instagram group that reposts anonymous people’ blind posts about celebrities.
The post was in reaction to one that had been uploaded and included Swift.
Following the streaming release of Swift’s Midnights bonus track You’re Losing Me, which many feel is about Alwyn, Swifties were criticized for speculating about the couple’s relationship in the anonymous contribution.Jack Antonoff, her collaborator, revealed on Wednesday that the song was composed in December 2021, raising doubts about the date of the couple’s breakup.
The insider speculated that the song might not be about breaking up but rather be a song that was inspired by a “argument.”Additionally, they criticized Deuxmoi for their marriage claims and asserted, based on previous blind items, that Swift was seen with Alwyn just prior to their 2023 breakup.
“It was never made legal,” the drama page replied. “She DID have a ceremony in 2020 or 2021 in the UK and it was described to me as a’marriage’ by more than one person.”Its owner said they would ‘die on this hill’ and ‘place it on my tombstone’.
...”There’s no need for me to lie; I could care less about what she does!”
I apologize for her not mentioning it in a song, but just because she doesn’t sing about something doesn’t mean it didn’t happen!Paine called them out, and Deuxmoi gave Swift an apology but also criticized the PR for his “choice of words.”
“Well, lying doesn’t bring me any money. Can publicists say the same?” They stated, “It seems like a poor choice of words to relate something that is in reference to something that happened years ago to ‘pain & trauma’ after what just happened.”
“In any case, I’m sorry to Taylor.”The initial Deuxmoi post was sparked by Swifties, who went crazy once You’re Losing Me was released on streaming services this week.First heard on music streaming services, the song has poignant lyrics like “I wouldn’t marry me either” and “My heart won’t start anymore for you.”
In May, the song was first made available digitally through her website.Happy Swifites took to X to discuss their conflicting emotions on Taylor’s ex-boyfriend Joe as well as their joy at the release.”

The fan tweeted on X, “Not now sweetie, ‘you’re losing me’ is out now on streaming platforms.”They shared a GIF of Oprah Winfrey and many couldn’t believe the song was suddenly readily accessible.

The fan added, “You’re finally losing me out on all streaming platforms. I prayed for times like this.”For several others, the song evoked conflicting emotions regarding Taylor and Joe’s six-year romance.
“I just hope now that you’re losing me is on streaming services,” someone said in support of the actor. People should leave Joe alone and refrain from bullying him.
When we initially heard the music, didn’t you harass him enough? REMOVE JOE ALWYN FROM HERE!According to The Sun last year, she and her boyfriend have been engaged for a “few months.”
They said that Swift had been showing off her engagement ring “behind closed doors” and that the couple had only told their closest friends.According to a source close to Joe, Taylor and Joe are extremely happy and deeply in love, the publication reported at the time.
They haven’t really announced their engagement to anyone outside of their closest family and close, dependable pals for a few months.”Everyone has also sworn to maintain secrecy.”
Joe allegedly gave Taylor a “beautiful ring,” but the insider claimed that Taylor “only wears it when she’s at home, i.e., behind closed doors.”
Once more, very few people are aware of the specifics, and some members of Taylor’s staff haven’t even been informed about the engagement, they assert.
The Sun was reportedly informed by the insider that Taylor and Joe ‘want their love to stay away from the cameras as much as possible’ and that their purported engagement is ‘only for them.”.And there most certainly won’t be any Vogue, Rolling Stone, or Hello! magazines present if and when they do exchange vows.
Like them, it will be understated and sophisticated. There were “no specific wedding details,” the site said. Not many months had passed after the singer of Lover and actor Tom Hiddleston abruptly called it quits on their romance, according to reports, when she began dating Joe.With references to Joe in the lyrics of her successful 2017 album Reputation, particularly the song Gorgeous, where she remembers’making fun of’ his English accent, Taylor provided fans a glimpse into their budding affair.
“Happy for those who desired” Another individual said, “I can’t listen to that song or I will think about [TRAIN DRIVES BY] [TIRES SCREECHING] Joe Alwyn,” even though You’re Losing Me is available for streaming.”Happy Holidays, Joe Alwyn.”
