Dell Curry, father of Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry, recently shared with the press that he has remarried following his divorce from Sonya. Although reports indicated a potential drift between the father and the oldest son during the divorce proceedings, it seems they have maintained an amicable relationship. The decision to divorce had been initiated by Sonya in a North Carolina court, and both parties expressed sadness over the end of their marriage. Dell Curry, however, appears to have swiftly moved forward with his life, remarrying after opting to stay on the Eastern Seaboard of the United States.

“Yes,” he said to the Charlotte Observer. “It’s great. I didn’t know what I was going do (after the divorce). I thought about going to the West Coast. I’m like, “Nah, I’m not going to follow my sons. I’m going to stick it out. Hang here.

“Then I had friends who introduced me to my wife now. I’d met her a couple of times. We talked on the phone for a month before I laid eyes on her. I’m like, ‘Oh, I like this girl, man. What’s going on here?’

“I wasn’t going to get married again, but life is great right now. It couldn’t be better. For me, I’m at a great place in my life. My home situation is sound. My kids and their families are doing great. They’re happy for me. I’m happy for them. So life’s good.”
