The Lakers, led by the dynamic duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis, wasted no time making their presence felt. D’Angelo Russell initiated the scoring with a timely three-pointer, setting the tone for a first quarter dominated by Anthony Davis, who showcased his scoring prowess with 14 points, including a thunderous dunk as the clock expired, giving the Lakers a 33-23 lead.

Rui Hachimura’s return from a nasal fracture injected further energy into the Lakers’ efforts, contributing both offensively and defensively. The Lakers built a substantial 15-point lead before the Suns responded with a 7-0 run, prompting a timeout from Lakers coach Darvin Ham.
