The Golden State Warriors hosted the Portland Trail Blazers at the Chase Center in San Francisco on Wednesday evening.
The Warriors won the game 110-106, with Steph Curry leading the way with 31 points.
Klay Thompson ended with 11 points, five rebounds, and one assist in 27 minutes of action, shooting 3/13 from the field and 1/8 from three-point range.
Thompson created NBA history by climbing up the all-time scoring chart during the game.
He entered the evening with 14,455 career points and has now surpassed Rod Strickland (14,463) for 170th place on the list.
Following Strickland, Thompson’s next target will be Ricky Pierce (14,467).
During Wednesday’s game, Klay Thompson climbed up the NBA’s all-time scoring chart.The Warriors improved to 10-11 in their first 21 games, giving them the 11th seed in the Western Conference.
They are now 5-6 in 11 games played on their home turf at the Chase Center.
Following their game against the Trail Blazers, the Warriors will play the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday evening.
Thompson is one of the best players of all time and will one day be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Having said that, he has struggled this season, averaging 15.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game while shooting 39.7% from the field and 34.8% from three-point range in 20 games.
The Trail Blazers have gone 6-14 in their first 20 games.
