Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies responded to his teammate’s career performance against the Detroit Pistons.
Desmond Bane of the Memphis Grizzlies scored 49 points against the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday night, helping his club to a much-needed victory. Memphis has struggled in the loss of Ja Morant and others, but Bane is the type of player who can put together big time performances, which he did again in this one.
Morant is already anticipating his return from suspension, and his teammates are giving him even more reasons to be pleased. While the Pistons are the NBA’s worst club, the Grizzlies haven’t fared much better this season. Regardless of opponent, a player scoring 49 points is really amazing.
Morant and Bane have emerged as one of the top backcourts in the game, and they should be able to improve on their current success whenever Morant returns. Many observers felt Memphis would be able to survive Morant’s absence because of Bane’s scoring abilities, but many injuries have complicated their start to the season.
Memphis has a chance to make the playoffs this season thanks to the brilliance-In Tournament, and the brilliance of Bane mixed with the return of Morant might be the ideal storm to bring them back in the mix.
