With the rest of the NBA season canceled owing to the coronavirus epidemic, Steph Curry has a lot more time on his hands these days.
So where better to spend his abundant leisure time than at home, inside the magnificent $31 million (£26.2 million) estate he shares with wife Ayesha Curry and their three gorgeous children Riley, seven, Ryan, four, and Canon, one?
California is currently under lockdown to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus, which has claimed over 17,000 lives globally.
Schools are closed, and travel is limited to essentials, so Steph and Ayesha, like many other celebrities, are trapped at home with the kids.
But their beautiful home isn’t an awful place to be right now.
According to Architectural Digest, the happy couple quietly purchased their property in Atherton, California for a whopping $31 million in June 2019. Yes, it’s one of the most expensive residences in the neighborhood, but it won’t make a dent in Steph’s estimated net worth of $130 million (£110 million).
The Currys have become property experts after making numerous changes to their portfolio last year.
They sold their former property in Alamo, California for $6.3 million (£5.3 million) at the beginning of the year. Steph’s starter home in North Carolina was sold a few days later for $1.19 million (£1 million).
The Currys were claimed to be living in another Alamo home when they purchased their present enormous estate, however it’s unclear if they still had the keys.
But, returning to their beautiful Atherton estate, where they currently reside…
Developer Joe Comartin built the three-story gated property on spec, and it is scarcely visible from the street, making it ideal for the family’s solitude.
According to Variety, it lies on 1.2 acres and has off-street parking, as well as a driveway large enough to fit half a dozen automobiles. If that isn’t sufficient, Ayesha and Steph can park their cars in the detached garage.
The apartment is exceptionally glassy, with floor-to-ceiling windows facing out from the kitchen into the enormous garden, which includes a large swimming pool.
Riley and Ryan, without a doubt, have all the fun when it comes to making a splash during the summer months.
The married pair may host guests on their patio, which has a fireplace and a built-in BBQ.
We’ll be waiting for our invitation to that summer party, which, given the current conditions, will most likely be in 2021, but we’re happy to wait.
Because it was built to spec, nothing is known about the couple’s personal rooms such as the bedroom and bathroom, but it’s a no-brainer that Ayesha’s house’s pride and joy is the kitchen.
The chef spends a lot of time there preparing delicious meals and snacks for Steph and the kids, which she frequently documents on Instagram.
To keep business and personal life distinct, she no longer films her cooking show in her own kitchen.
Last June, Ayesha explained the importance of using the kitchen to bond with your family, telling Parade: ‘[The] biggest message that I have is get in the kitchen, cook with your family—no matter what your family looks like, who they are, your friends, whoever.
‘It’s the perfect setting to build a great family foundation and relationship.’
Being at home with the Currys sounds like a cosy dream. And it looks that way too…
