Recapping Green’s history of disciplinary actions:

2016 NBA Finals: Green punched LeBron James in the groin area, resulting in a technical foul, his fourth flagrant foul, and James missing a crucial Game 5. The Cavaliers eventually overcame a 3-1 series deficit to secure victory.

2018-19: A heated argument with Kevin Durant led to Green’s one-game suspension by the Warriors. Many view this incident as a pivotal moment contributing to Durant’s eventual departure from the team.

March 2023: Green accumulated 16 technical fouls, leading to a one-game suspension after he tossed a ball at Russell Westbrook’s head.

April 2023: In the first round of the Western Conference playoffs, Green stomped on the chest of Domantas Sabonis, causing him to miss Game 3 against the Sacramento Kings.

November 2023: A five-game suspension was imposed on Green after he grabbed Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert around the neck.

Notably, Green escaped suspension for a punch thrown at Jordan Poole during a 2022 team practice, receiving only a fine.

NBA insider Shams Charania reports that Green is expected to undergo counseling and work with the Warriors and NBA during his suspension. Criteria must be met before his return to play. Chris Haynes of NBA on TNT reveals that Green will be allowed to practice with the team during the suspension. Green did issue an apology for the recent incident involving Nurkic.

“I’m not one to apologize for things I meant to do,” Green told reporters following the game.

“But I do apologize to Jusuf. Even though I didn’t intend to hit him, I sell calls with my arms. I don’t fall to sell a call. I’m not a flopper. I was just selling the call because he was grabbing and pulling my hip. So, I spun away. And, unfortunately, I hit him.

“So, I apologize to Jusuf because I didn’t intend to hit him.”

Nurkic wasn’t a fan of Green, or his actions.

“I don’t know man. I was behind the play. What’s going on [with] him, I don’t know. Personally, I feel like that brother need the help. I’m glad he [did] not trying to choke me, but at the same time it had nothing to do with basketball,” he said after the game.
