On the day that the star quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, Patrick Mahomes, officially signed with Texas Tech, he looked completely different.

The 27-year-old NFL sensation went to Texas’ Whitehouse High School before deciding to attend Texas Tech.

Third-star football recruit Patrick Mahomes is the son of MLB pitcher Pat Mahomes.

In addition to being a top recruit, he received offers from Rice, Houston, and Texas Tech.

Mahomes was interviewed the day he made the important choice to commit with Texas Tech in April of 2013.

In a YouTube video, the Tyler Morning Telegraph featured the eventual two-time Super Bowl champion.

Patrick had an uneven hairline and short hair, giving him a young, fresh-faced appearance.

At the moment, he sports a taper fade mohawk and wavy hair.

Mahomes would play for the Red Raiders for three more seasons.

He gave up ball after his sophomore year in order to concentrate on football.

After making the right choice, Mahomes was awarded the Sammy Baugh Trophy, which goes to the best college quarterback in the country.

After giving up his final year of collegiate eligibility to pursue the NFL Draft, the rest would be history for him.

The Kansas City Chiefs chose Patrick with the No. 10 overall pick.

He was voted the MVP of the 2019 Super Bowl and won the 2018 NFL MVP award after spending his debut season lining up Alex Smith.

In the 2022 season, Mahomes won both the MVP and his second Super Bowl.

He inked the third-largest contract in sports history, a massive 10-year extension worth a whooping $503, in 2020.

In 2020, Patrick proposed to his childhood sweetheart, Brittany, in the same year.

The couple’s two children are one-year-old Bronze and two-year-old daughter Sterling Skye.

Brittany is a co-owner of the women’s professional soccer team, Kansas City Current.

Patrick and his spouse own homes valued at millions of dollars.

They own one estate in Texas and three in Missouri.
