The Golden State Warriors have assigned forward Gui Santos to their G League affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors. This decision was announced on Monday, ahead of the Warriors’ game against the Orlando Magic on Tuesday evening at the Chase Center in San Francisco.
Santos, the 55th pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, has appeared in four games for the Warriors this season, averaging 3.3 points and 2.0 rebounds per game. He has shown versatility, shooting 57.1% from the field and 33.3% from beyond the arc.
The 21-year-old continues to split time between the Golden State Warriors and the Santa Cruz Warriors, gaining valuable experience and development opportunities in the G League.
In the G League, Santos has been making significant contributions, averaging 15.2 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game in 16 appearances.
The Golden State Warriors have faced challenges this season, currently holding a 15-17 record after 32 games. They are looking to bounce back from a three-game losing streak as they host the Orlando Magic. Following this game, they are set to face Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets on Thursday.
