The Warriors end a two-game losing streak thanks to Klay Thompson’s long-range performance and Steph Curry’s late onslaught.
Klay Thompson returned to the site of his record-breaking three-point performance and delivered another brilliant long-range effort, guiding the undermanned Golden State Warriors to a 140-131 victory against the visiting Chicago Bulls on Friday, January 12 (Saturday, January 13, Manila time).
Thompson, who set an NBA record with 14 three-pointers in a game against the Bulls in 2018, hit 7-for-15 from beyond the arc on his way to a team-high 30 points.
Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors preserved 15 of his 27 points for the last 6:05.
The Bulls led by 13 points at halftime thanks to a 45-point second quarter. The Warriors then burst to a 15-point lead with a 48-point third quarter in which Thompson went 5-for-5 from beyond the arc.
