The Memphis Grizzlies will be without Ja Morant, Desmond Bane, Marcus Smart, and many others against the Toronto Raptors on Monday

The Toronto Raptors will host the Memphis Grizzlies at Scotiabank Arena on Monday.

The Grizzlies, who are still dealing with a long list of injuries, have had a forgettable year. Marcus Smart, Steven Adams, Ja Morant, and Desmond Bane were all out from Memphis’ expected starting lineup heading into the season.

To make matters worse, the Grizzlies will be missing Derrick Rose, Xavier Tillman (who has been labeled as questionable), Jake LaRavia, and Brandon Clarke.

The Grizzlies are now one and a half games behind Toronto in the standings this season after losing four of their previous five games. If the Raptors lost to Memphis, they would drop to the sixth-worst team in the NBA, according to those who follow the league’s reverse standings.

Though the franchise is probably going to give up its first-round pick to the San Antonio Spurs this summer, Toronto is still committed to try to challenge for a play-in position.

The Raptors, on the other hand, have just declared Jakob Poeltl ineligible due to his ongoing ankle sprain. At some point this week, Toronto is anticipated to release an update on Poeltl’s condition.

Javon Freeman-Liberty, Kira Lewis Jr., and Gradey Dick will all be promoted from the G League, yet only Dick is anticipated to play in the Grizzlies rotation. The only Raptors two-way player still playing in the G League is Marquis Nowell.

The Raptors have an expected win probability of 73.3% and are set as -7.5 point favorites against the Grizzlies.
