Haas F1 Team Sets Date for Unveiling 2024 Car in Bid for Midfield Resurgence
In a strategic move to elevate its standing within the Formula 1 hierarchy, the Haas Formula 1 team has officially announced the launch date for its much-anticipated 2024 car, the VF-24. The wraps will be pulled off the challenger on February 2, marking the team as the first to reveal its new car in preparation for the upcoming campaign.
Having faced a challenging 2023 season that resulted in a bottom finish in the Constructors’ Championship for the second time in three years, the US-owned squad is poised for a transformative year. Steering into a new era, Haas welcomes Ayao Komatsu as the new leader following the dismissal of Guenther Steiner.
Commenting on the forthcoming VF-24, Komatsu expressed confidence in the car being a significant step forward. However, he acknowledged the potential challenges, stating, “But whether it is good enough against the competition to start off with? I don’t believe so, because we started so late.” The team remains optimistic about overcoming obstacles and making a strong start in the upcoming Formula 1 season.
