In anticipation of the upcoming 2024 Formula 1 season, Ferrari has officially welcomed Oliver Bearman and Arthur Leclerc to their Reserve and Development driver lineup. The duo is poised to provide crucial support to race drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz throughout the racing season.

Ferrari, currently boasting reserve drivers Antonio Giovinazzi and Robert Shwartzman, who are also participating in the World Endurance Championship (WEC), has expanded its reserve driver lineup with the addition of Oliver Bearman. 

The trio of reserve drivers will play a pivotal role in Ferrari’s strategic plans for the season. Bearman, a Ferrari Driver Academy student, is actively involved in Formula 2 racing with the Prema team.

Former Ferrari Academy member Arthur Leclerc, sibling to five-time F1 race winner Charles Leclerc, is set to join Antonio Fuoco and Davide Rigon in the Development Driver role. This position involves extensive work in the simulator, car development, and managing updates throughout the season. 

Additionally, Arthur Leclerc will be competing in the Italian GT championship with Scuderia Baldini 27. Fuoco is participating in the Hyperclass of WEC, while Rigon competes in the LMGT3 class with the Vista AF Corse GT3 team.

Bearman and Leclerc are set to accumulate valuable track experience for Scuderia Ferrari during a three-day Pirelli test session at the Barcelona-Catalunya circuit. The team’s race drivers, Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc, will be testing last year’s SF23 on January 29 and 30, conducting tests for the exclusive F1 tire supplier.

On the 29th, Arthur Leclerc will make his Formula 1 debut, driving the 2022 F1-75. On Tuesday, the 30th, Charles Leclerc and Sainz will share both the SF23 and the F1-75, while on the 31st, Oliver Bearman will have the track to himself in the F1-75.
