Ja Morant only participated in nine games this season, but he managed to place among the top 10 players chosen by NBA All-Star fans.

When the starters were revealed on Thursday night, the final voting results were made public. Among guards in the Western Conference, Morant came in at number nine. He was ranked ninth overall after placing fifteenth in the player vote and receiving no votes from the media. The starting lineup is decided by player, media, and fan voting, with fan votes counting twice.

Players cast 11 votes for Morant. Desmond Bane got twenty-two. John Konchar, Marcus Smart, and Vince Williams Jr. each got one.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Luka Dončić were selected as the starting guards for the Western Conference.

Despite receiving 22 player votes, Jaren Jackson Jr. was the only Grizzlies player to barely make it into the frontcourt. With no games this season, Steven Adams received seven points, Bismack Biyombo received three, Xavier Tillman Sr. received six, and Santi Aldama received eleven.

Each of Brandon Clarke (who has also not played this season), David Roddy, and Ziaire Williams received one.

The reserves are chosen by coaches.

Although Morant suffered a shoulder injury on January 8 and was declared out for the season, he received consistent support during the All-Star voting process. Due to behavior that was detrimental to the league, he was suspended for the first 25 games of the season. However, the Grizzlies performed better after his return in December, going 6-3 when he was in the starting lineup.

This season, Memphis has struggled without Morant and has had a string of injuries to Smart, Derrick Rose, Aldama, and Bane.
