Right before the match between the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers took place, not many people believed in the ability of the yellow and purple team to win.

The Lakers are ranked 9th in the West with a record of 24-25 and have to be away, while the Celtics are ranked first in the East as well as the entire NBA with a record of 37-11.

“The flag is in hand”, Austin Reaves transformed into the brightest star of the Los Angeles Lakers. The defender wearing shirt number 15 finished the match with 32 points, including 7 successful 3-pointers to lead the Lakers to victory. 114-105.

Reaves alone with 32 PTS scored more points than Boston’s two All-Star players, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown (31 total points, 12-33 FG, 5-13 3PT).

However, this victory cannot come thanks to “handsome guy” Austin alone. D’Angelo Russell had an extremely impressive double-double with 16 points and 14 assists.

Bigman Jaxson Hayes had 16 points and 10 rebounds. Before having to leave the field early due to injury, Vanderbilt scored 10 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists, 3 steals in just 18 minutes of play. Rui Hachimura and Taurean Prince closed out the Lakers’ great collective effort with 15 and 11 points respectively.

In 50 games since the beginning of the Los Angeles Lakers season, Anthony Davis has missed 4 games and LeBron James has missed 5 games. However, this was the first victory when the team was without both LeBron and Davis.

The two stars are facing different injuries. Coach Darvin Ham said LeBron had a recurring ankle injury, while Davis had problems with his Achilles tendon and left hip pain.

It is still unclear whether this duo can play in the Lakers’ next match or not, just know that the Lakers captain emphasized that he wants perfection to maintain long-term health for both LeBron and AD.
