Christian Horner will attend Red Bull’s 2024 vehicle launch on Thursday, amid an inquiry into allegations of “inappropriate behavior” by the team principal.
Despite the accusation made by a female colleague at the start of last week, Horner plans to attend the Formula One champions’ launch celebration at their Milton Keynes headquarters.
The 50-year-old, who is married to former Spice Girls pop diva Geri Halliwell, vehemently denies claims he was abusive and overbearing.
A lawyer questioned him for eight hours on Friday as part of an investigation by Red Bull Racing’s parent company, Red Bull GmBH, which might continue many weeks.
A spokeswoman for Red Bull GmBH stated earlier this week that “after being made aware of certain recent allegations, the company launched an independent investigation.”
Horner, who has a kid with Halliwell from their wedding in 2015, attended a behind-the-scenes Red Bull test at Silverstone on Tuesday ahead of the new season, which begins in Bahrain on March 2.
Red Bull will introduce their new car on Thursday, and Horner is anticipated to speak to the media, though queries about the internal inquiry are likely to be off-limits.
Horner has been Red Bull’s team principal since the team’s debut in Formula One 19 years ago, making him the longest-serving boss on the grid.
During that time, he oversaw seven driver world championships and six constructor titles.
Red Bull has dominated the sport in recent seasons, winning 21 of 22 races last year, including a new record of ten straight victories set by Max Verstappen.
