Golden State Warriors and Steph Curry to Host NBA All-Star Weekend in 2025
Following the conclusion of All-Star Weekend in Indianapolis, attention now turns to next season as Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors eagerly anticipate hosting the prestigious event in their home city.
The Bay Area is set to welcome All-Star Weekend in 2025, marking the first time since 2000 that the region will host the festivities. For Curry, a 15-year resident of the city, the prospect of showcasing the event in his hometown fills him with excitement.
“I’m extremely excited,” Curry expressed in the aftermath of Sunday’s All-Star Game. “In 2019, I had the opportunity to return to my hometown of Charlotte and experience the overwhelming support there. I can only imagine that hosting in the Bay will bring even more excitement, especially since it’s been hosted here for the first time since 2000.”
During the Warriors’ previous stint as hosts in 2000, the events took place in Oakland. However, this time around, the spotlight will shine on San Francisco and the state-of-the-art Chase Center. Despite the shift in venue, Curry remains hopeful that the NBA will pay tribute to the Warriors’ deep-rooted connections with Oakland.
“The entire Bay Area has so much to offer, from the vibrant city of San Francisco to the rich history of Oakland,” Curry emphasized. “I’m thrilled and grateful that it’ll be just a short drive away.”
Curry’s presence in Sunday’s All-Star Game marked his 10th appearance, showcasing his enduring impact on the league. With the anticipation of playing in front of his home crowd next season, Curry aims to deliver an electrifying performance worthy of celebration.
