Despite a series of mistakes plaguing the Lakers, Davis’s stellar performance propelled them to a crucial 120-109 win at Crypto.com Arena.

The game’s turning point came as the third quarter transitioned into the fourth, with rarely-used Minnesota big man Luka Garza sinking a basket just before the buzzer, putting the Timberwolves ahead by one. However, Davis and the Lakers responded with a remarkable 21-4 run, showcasing their resilience and defensive prowess.

Despite nursing a shoulder bruise sustained in a previous game, Davis delivered a historic performance, becoming the first NBA player to record at least 27 points, 25 rebounds, seven steals, five assists, and three blocks in a single game. His dominance in the paint, particularly on the offensive boards, proved instrumental in securing the win for the Lakers.

LeBron James, returning after sitting out a game due to injury, contributed significantly with 29 points, leading the Lakers’ offensive charge. Austin Reaves also made valuable contributions with 19 points, while Rui Hachimura and D’Angelo Russell added 15 and 13 points, respectively.

Despite the Timberwolves’ valiant effort, led by Anthony Edwards and Naz Reid, who both scored 25 points, they were unable to overcome the Lakers’ defensive pressure and offensive firepower. The Lakers capitalized on Minnesota’s turnovers, turning them into crucial points on the scoreboard.
