Following Honda’s departure from Formula 1 in 2021, Red Bull opted to handle powertrain development internally, with Ford set to join as partners for the forthcoming regulations effective from the end of the next season. 

Despite potential concerns over power limitations, particularly as Verstappen vies for his fourth world title in four years, the Adrian Newey-led design unit appears formidable.

“When I have to speculate about everything, I might as well worry if I’m still breathing tomorrow, right?” Verstappen quipped during media interactions.” 

“So I don’t dwell on that too much because I maintain close communication with Christian [Horner] about it. Everyone’s fully committed, so there’s no need for panic.”

Verstappen’s confidence isn’t merely confined to engine matters. Despite Ferrari’s recent 1-2 triumph at the Australian Grand Prix, the 26-year-old remains the driver to beat, backed by an impressive record of reliability with Red Bull.
