After the Grizzlies defeated the Lakers in the playoffs, Ja Morant’s daughter had a message for the team.

Before the series moves to Los Angeles for Games 3 and 4, the Grizzlies won a crucial game on their home court on Wednesday to tie the series with the Lakers.

Due to a hand injury he sustained in Game 1, Ja Morant was not available for the victory in Game 2. Morant and his daughter attended the game to support Memphis even though he did not suit up.

When Morant and his daughter were interviewed on the court following the game, she told the FedEx Forum crowd his famous one-liner.

Holden by her father, Kaari Morant said, “There’s a parade inside my city, yeah,” as they stood next to Jaren Jackson Jr.
That line, which is a song lyric from rapper NBA YoungBoy’s song Fresh Prince of Utah, has become a signature for Grizzlies players after victories. Morant has made a point of using it.

His three-year-old daughter is now speaking up and repeating what her father said following Memphis’ pivotal victory in Game 2.

With 22 points, Xavier Tillman led the Grizzlies in scoring while Morant was out. Desmond Bane contributed 17 points, and Jackson Jr. scored 18.

On Saturday, April 22, the series’ third game will take place in Los Angeles. The Grizzlies are hoping that Morant can overcome the injury that prevented him from playing on Wednesday.
