Los Angeles Lakers standout Austin Reaves is determined to maintain his high level of performance as the NBA playoffs approach, pledging to give his all during the crucial remaining stretch of the regular season.
In an interview reported by ESPN’s Dave McMenamin, Reaves expressed his commitment to leaving everything on the court until the Lakers’ last game. “I’ve got everything I can give,” Reaves stated emphatically. “That’s what I’m going to do every night. I’m going to go out there and give everything I’ve got until after our last game, and then I can relax and chill.”
Despite facing injury setbacks in his first two seasons with the Lakers, missing a total of 39 games due to ankle and hamstring issues, Reaves has displayed resilience and durability this season, appearing in all 77 games for the team.
His consistency on the court has been remarkable, contributing significantly to the Lakers’ efforts.
The third-year guard has been a key asset for the Lakers, averaging impressive numbers of 15.9 points on 48.5% shooting, along with 4.4 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game in the regular season.
The Lakers are currently enjoying a successful run, coming off a prosperous road trip where they secured a 5-1 record in six games.
As they approach the final stretch of the regular season with five games remaining, the team stands at a 44-33 record, tied with the Sacramento Kings for the 8th spot in the standings. With the playoffs on the horizon, Reaves’ determination and commitment will be crucial for the Lakers’ postseason aspirations.
