Klay Thompson, one half of the sweet-shooting “Splash Brothers” of the Golden State Warriors, now has a flashy house to match his title.
The shooting guard, who has contributed to the Warriors’ journey to the NBA Finals, had time earlier this year to engage in another kind of play when he paid $2.2 million for an oceanfront Dana Point house.
The Spanish-style ranch house, situated in the Capo Beach region, spans over a quarter of an acre and features a central courtyard with a pool and Jacuzzi, two guest casitas, and a patio that is 100 feet wide and offers unhindered views of the ocean.

We were unable to locate Thompson’s home in 2018. It was mentioned as a location with a rotating cast of housemates as he assisted in leading the team to three titles.
However, there is currently a bead on the Oakland residence of the sharpshooter and an LLC connected to the celebrity.
Additionally, the property that former Warriors teammate Kevin Durant rented is conveniently located next door to his residence. For $2.44 million, Thompson paid for the property’s brand-new acquisition in April 2016.
The five-bedroom Mediterranean-style home was advertised as having “spectacular views” and was situated behind a gate. What’s more, it includes a one-bedroom casita that is perfect for any visitor needing to stay for one or two nights.
Over the past few years, Thompson most likely didn’t spend much time at the house while he healed from a number of catastrophic injuries. Thompson also has a house in Dana Point, California, with an ocean view that he purchased for $2.2 million in 2015, as we reported in 2018. The native of Southern California most likely divided his time between the beach and the Bay Area in 2019 and 2020 when he wasn’t traveling with the squad.
Regarding the commute to work, Thompson devised a brilliant plan that works with Curry’s peculiar style. Curry has been active in the real estate market off the court. Curry, however, moved from the East Bay to the most expensive town in America, unlike his Splash Brother.
Let’s go back in time to 2013, the year that Curry did not win three NBA championships. Though he had just inked a lucrative $44 million contract deal with the Warriors, he was far from a legend. With a portion of his winnings, he purchased a 4,900-square-foot, $3.1 million home in the quiet suburban community of Orinda.
He spent $3.2 million in November 2015 to purchase a significantly larger 7,894-square-foot property in Walnut Creek as his family’s fame grew. In June 2016, he sold the Orinda house for $4.65 million, which was a good return on his investment.
However, Curry changed course and put the Walnut Creek estate up for sale a year after purchasing it due to a privacy concern. The house was eventually sold in August 2017 for $2.94 million, a significant discount to the $3.7 million selling price, marking a rare defeat for the MVP.
